In a town where name talent and big budgets are usually what it takes to get a project made, it is always refreshing to come across content that succeeds solely because it is good and someone believed in it enough to make it happen. This is the case with OFf & RUNNING, a seven episode web series that premiered earlier this month with weekly episodes and already finds itself ona billboard in Times Square and a theater on the Paramount lot this weekend.

THE DYNAMIC DUO BEHIND VIRGIN ALEXANDER

NYU graduates Charlotte Barrett and Sean Fallon always knew they wanted to make films. The pair met during a film production class at the Tisch School of the Arts and following college they both worked at the Late Show with David Letterman before moving to Los Angeles to pursue screenwriting. They married in 2006 and co-wrote their first screenplay in 2008. Four years later, their first feature Virgin Alexander, is taking film festivals nationwide by storm!

CONVERSATIONS WITH FUTURE STARS

Stand-up comedian Heather Turman and actor Chris Manitius are gearing up to launch their co-effort, Conversations with Future Stars, on September 17thon on Blip.tv. The series is a scripted comedy that follows two talentless narcissists as they attempt to shortcut their way to superstardom.
