"MIDNIGHT'S CHILDREN" CLOSES IFFLA, WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The 11th Annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles was held April 9th - 14th at Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood. Festival creator Christina Marouda and director Anurag Kashyap opened the event with Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur, now one of my all-time favorite films. Check out that review. Midnight’s Children from acclaimed director Deepa Mehta and writer Salman Rushdie closed the fest and a slew of great work debuted in between, culminating in tonight's awards.

Press Pass LA attended the 2013 Comedy for a Cure benefit to help raise funds and awareness for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC). The event took place at Lure and was hosted by Mo Collins with performances by comedians Mary Lynn Rajskub, Brad Wollack, and the Lampshades featuring Scot Robinson and Kate Flannery.
TEAM TRUE BEAUTY- EMPOWERING FROM WITHIN
This weekend we attended the Team True Beauty “Empowering From Within” Panel Event. Founded by Brittany Miller (President) and Meriam Bouarrouj (Vice-President), Team True Beauty is an organization that encourages people to use their voices and believe in their worth and purpose. They also raise further awareness on the dangers of eating disorders and promote healthy body images.
HOLLYWOOD TURNS OUT TO SUPPORT NKLA
Hollywood elite turned out in support of the charity NKLA (No KILL LA) whose mission is to end the killing of healthy and treatable pets in Los Angeles. High Fashion Model Jasmine Dustin, actress Anya Monzikova (The Client List) and Producer Julie Lott Gallo partnered together to throw this life-saving event which took place at Fred Segal in Hollywood!
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF THE ROLLING STONES AT PROJECT GALLERY
The memories of my favorite Rolling Stones songs were echoing throughout my mind as I attended Project Gallery’s “50 Years of The Rolling Stones” exhibition in celebration of the Stones' 50th anniversary. The event featured never before seen intimate photos of The Stones. The photos were captured by photographers Ken Regan, Philip Townsend, Barrie Wentzell, Neal Preston, Lynn Goldsmith.
