UNLIKELY HEROES BENEFIT
PPLA attended the Unlikely Heroes Benefit celebrating survivors and abolitionists for their effort to end modern day slavery. The evening's honorees included Holly Austin Smith (Child Sex Trafficking Survivor, Advocate/Author & Speaker), Morgan Perry (Abolitionist, Film Producer/Documentarian), Arlene Irion (Advocate/Recipient U.S. Department of Justice Award), and Ben Decker (Philanthropist, President BWD-PR).
KEN PAVES HOSTS GLAD BENEFIT
This past week GLAD held its 10th Annual Benefit at the House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard to raise awareness and make equal access possible for the deaf community. The event was sponsored by ABC Family and included cast members from the ABC show Switched at Birth. Ken Paves, longtime supporter and celebrity hair stylist, hosted the evening which featured a combination of performances from both the hearing and deaf communities.
HOLLYWOOD SHORTS TACKLE ADDICTION
Addiction is more than just a state of mind. In truth, there are many ways to describe it and varying opinions on whether it's an inherited condition or the result of dependence and reliance. Whatever the cause, it continues to thrive in society and infect itself upon many individuals. These are matters that can not get enough exposure, and Primary Purpose Productions, along with the Dana and Albert Broccoli Charitable Foundation, are making sure this harrowing socio-problem bears itself vulnerable.

PPLA attended the Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine Fall 2012 launch party held at Kyle by Alene Too, a new boutique owned by Kyle Richards of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The event was in support of cover girl, Fran Drescher's charity Cancer Schmancer. We spoke with Fran about her charity, being on the fall cover, and the return of her show Happily Divorced.
