We had the pleasure of attending “An Evening With Women,” an event produced by Linda Perry to benefit the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. The event is one of the premiere LGBT events in Los Angeles, shining a spotlight on lesbians and bisexual women and their allies. Hosted by Kathy Griffin, the evening consisted of a cocktail reception, dinner, auction and performances by some of the biggest names in the industry at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.
I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend this years LA Times Hero Complex Film Festival this past Friday evening. When I heard that horror legend John Carpenter was going to be there doing a Q&A bookended by two of his classic films, They Live and the iconic Halloween, nothing was going to keep me from attending.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, we attended the 5th Annual On The Go Mother’s Day Beauty Event. The Thompson Beverly Hills rooftop pool was transformed into mini beauty lounges where celebrity moms were treated to pampering, light appetizers and refreshing Tea-infused cocktails by Owl’s Brew. Guests were beautified by Hollywood’s best, such as getting their hair styled by Joico’s Celebrity Colorist, George Papanikolas who is the colorist to the Kardashians, Nicole Richie, and more!
It was a historical night at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills, as they played host to the PBS series,"American Masters." The event celebrated the incredible life of what moderator Richard Benjamin introduced as, "The two most important words in show business: Mel Brooks." The evening featured a Q & A panel with Brooks himself and the premiere of the documentary.
For as long as I can remember I have collected a piece of jewelry from every place that I have visited. A souvenir, a fashion statement, a memory of where I have been and who I am. It was not until I was introduced to author- designer Beth Bernstein and her book My Charmed Life, did I realize just how much this small tradition resonates. I attended her event which included a book reading and jewelry showing of Beth's line State of Grace at Roseark in West Hollywood.
