DWTS RETURNS FOR ITS SIXTEENTH SEASON

It's the inaugural night of ABC's Dancing with the Stars, so I put on my designer pajamas (t-shirt without holes!) to get fancy for the occasion! A new season brings new changes in the show. Contemporary has now been added as a style of dance, Maks the resident ballroom bad boy is noticeably missing from the line up, and each contestant's personal twitter handler is placed on screen before their dance so you can verbally assault them almost as directly as knocking on their front door.

AMERICAN IDOL TOP TEN ELIMINATION RESULTS SHOW

Last week’s prize was a spot in the coveted “Top 10.” The prize this week is a spot in the “Top 9”, and a one in nine chance to be the next American Idol. This year American Idol will announce the “Top 3”, contestants in no particular order and then announce spots 4 – 10 based on the actual voting results. The last place contestant will then sing for their survival. Let’s get to the results!

AMERICAN IDOL: TOP TEN PERFORMANCES

Thank God that Hollywood Week and the live Las Vegas live performance shows are finally over. After weeks of bad performances, good performances, temper tantrums, breakdowns and inconsistent judging we finally have a “Top 10.” I for one haven’t liked many of the new changes implemented this season and their insistence on having an equal number of guys and girls in the “Top 10”, certainly didn’t result in us getting the “Top 10”, best singers.

NETFLIX STACKS THE DECK WITH HOUSE OF CARDS, FIRST ORIGINAL SERIES

You may not realize it yet, but television will never be the same. Last week Netflix raised the stakes by introducing its own original series, House of Cards. Created by David Fincher and starring Kevin Spacey the hour-long drama centers around a Majority Whip in Washington with dreams of becoming the President of the United States.

The American Idol audition tour is winding down this week with stops in San Antonio, Long Beach California, and Oklahoma City. This will be the last chance for contestants to earn their “Hollywood Golden Tickets" before heading ot Hollywood. Tonight's show saw a surprise appearance by former judge Steven Tyler.
