Q & A WITH ROBERT BAKER, "THE LONE RANGER"
PPLA had the pleasure of interviewing Robert Baker. I am sure that you recognize his work from Grey's Anatomy and Justified, but what you may not know is that he recently starred in the comedy film, Virtually Heroes as a frustrated video game action hero, and can be seen in Gore Verbinski’s The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp releasing July 13. In addition, Baker will appear in Atom Egoyan’s thriller The Devil's Knot alongside Oscar winners Colin Firth and Reese Witherspoon.

So few films these days are willing to push the limits of cinema to the point where the audience is not only enthralled by totally confused. David Lynch would be proud.

Finding Joy is an epic love story between two very self-involved, comedic characters. Kyle, a writer, and Joy, a committed hypochondriac, fall in love under some very unusual circumstances. A story of broken relationships, love, and forgiveness, Finding Joy is surely a must see. Press Pass LA had the chance to chat with the Director, Carlo De Rosa to see just went in to making such an artistically creative movie and this is what we found out!
NOW YOU SEE ME, NEEDS MORE TRICKS UP ITS SLEEVE
Now You See Me had such potential, it is a shame watching it go to waste. With a cast that includes Jesse Eisenberg, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Mark Ruffalo and Woody Harrelson it should have been a guaranteed powerhouse of a film. Sadly, choppy writing and some major logic flaws turn what should have been a blockbuster into a movie that is merely mediocre.
CANNES FILM FESTIVAL- MAGIC MAGIC
At the 66th annual Cannes film festival, Sebastian Sylvia’s eerie flick Magic Magic was screened. This psychological thriller was filmed in a remote Chilean location and stars English actress Juno Temple and Canadian actor, Michael Cera and was previously screened at the Sundance Film Festival this past January with rave reviews.
