Press Pass LA was on the black carpet for The Walking Dead 100th Issue Party powered by Hyundai and held at Petco Park as a part of the Comic Con festivities.
The Walking Dead comic book series and best selling graphic novels recently hit their 100th issue and what better what to celebrate than at the biggest comic convention of the year, Comic Con in San Deigo.
The event was a VIP, guest list only, party held fittingly on Friday 13th and honored creator and writer Robert Kirkman, who also writes and executive produces the hit television series based on his work. The comics and novels are published by Skybound/Image Comics and the TV series The Walking Dead airs on AMC.
Celebrity fans and undead talent from the hit series walked the black carpet which was turned into a post-apocalyptic world infested with…you guessed it, zombies! We weren't sure if our host Tenille Houston would ever be seen again!
Luckily, she braved the goons and scored some amazing interviews with the cast including Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Steven Yeun, and Norman Reedus and A-list guests like Seth Green, Breckin Meyer, and Chad Michael Murray, to name a few. Check out our full video for all the fun and scary moments.
Inside the party, guests snacked on zombie inspired appetizers like the 'fried squirrel' a delicious meal that appears in the graphic novel and danced the night away. They did the monster mash…too much?
To top of the fun, sponsor Hyundai gave away a Hyundai Elantra GT, which was fully wrapped in the 100th issue cover on the carpet, to one lucky survivor. Either that or there's a zombie out there driving around in a serious new ride.
