FAUX PAS LAUNCH PARTY

Spacecraft Design Group hosted a red carpet opening and cocktail party for media & celebrities to come enjoy a sneak peek of the new menu at Faux Pas Bistro. The bistro is located on 3rd and Fairfax in Los Angeles and hopes to be the new hot spot for Hollywood.
The décor was modern and rustic. The front dining room had an outdoor patio feel with large windows inviting all the bustle of the streets into the restaurant- perfect for LA when we have those gorgeous SoCal days! But if weather doesn’t permit, you stay safe from getting your designer duds ruined.
Location of this Bistro is key! If you want to get away from the tourist crowds at the Grove or take a break from shopping all day, this is the place for a cocktails and French cuisine and it's just across the street.
Now on to the important part... the food and drinks! The PPLA crew had no problem sampling some of the yummy food and perfectly mixed cocktails which were definitely flowing. We sampled some white wine and the signature Faux Pas Punch. You might think this a 'girly drink'... NOPE our male photographer even sipped and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not to mention, it packs a punch!
Time for the appetizers! Being part of the media, we were on the red carpet snapping photos of the celebs and grabbing the Executive Chef for an interview so when we returned inside the food was **gasp** gone!!! Not to worry. The host noticed our dilemma and made a quick visit back to the kitchen and before we knew it, we were delightfully enjoying the beef sliders, Croque Monsieur Lollipop, a ham & cheese fritter with creamy dipping sauce. (My fav! Who doesn’t love anything on a stick... and cheesy?) Lastly, we were treated to bit size Tiramisu. Needless to say, the PPLA team left Faux Pas Bistro quite full.
As for celebs who also enjoyed the evening, we caught up with actors Brando Eaton (Dexter), Amy Lawhorn (Gone), and Claire Scott (33 Postcards) which made for great company.
Merci Beaucoup to Executive Chef Oz Ramuco for whipping up something so we could enjoy and give us the chance to tast what everyone was raving about. We were told he plans to serve his French bistro favorites on the daily menu which includes : French Onion Soup, Mac and Cheese, Chicken Cordon Blue, Sea Bass and Croquets, to name a few.
