TRIBECA PREMIERE- CAROLINE AND JACKIE

By Michelle Romano

Press Pass LA was at red carpet this weekend for the World Premiere of Caroline and Jackie starring Marguerite Moreau (Shameless), Bitsie Tulloch (Grimm), and David Giuntoli (Grimm). This film takes a look at the complexities of sisterhood.

The movie begins with Caroline (Moreau) visiting her sister Jackie (Tulloch) and her boyfriend (Giuntoli). A fun evening among friends suddenly goes a rye when tensions arise over the sisters' past. The film delves into relationships between siblings, lovers, and friends, and takes a look at the emotional toll on each character. It is an interesting look at just how far you can push the boundaries of your relationships.

The film was written and directed by Adam Christian Clark. The drama was shot entirely based on improv, and the actors rehearsed a month prior to shooting. Aside from acting in the film, Bitsie Tulloch also served as a Producer of this project. On the red carpet, she told us, "When I read this script, I knew it was going to be a big deal. I just didn't know it was going to be this big of a deal." She added, "there was something really ideal and great, and very special about being able to shoot this drama as improv."

Marguerite Moreau told us that Adam's directing style was fresh and unique, and that he really knew and understood this project, which made her job a lot easier. She also shared with us that her character in the film pushed her to "try new things and take big risks. She lives a little farther out on the edge than I do, and I really liked that. She taught me things about myself." When asked about her involvement with indie films such as this one,she happily responded," I love them! They are the best part."

We would have to agree!
