MAGIC CITY BRINGS THE MIAMI HEAT

If necessity is the mother of invention, then the parents in charge of the 'slick period drama' have been adopting like Brad and Angelina. With Boardwalk Empire you get cool gangsters with the hazy backdrop of Atlantic City in the 20’s. Mad Men has the sexy sleaze of 60’s businessmen on Madison Ave. Now comes Mitch Glazer’s Magic City.

FIVE YEAR ENGAGEMENT: ADVANCE SCREENING, Q & A

The director and writer/star of Forgetting Sarah Marshall reteam for the irreverent comedy The Five-Year Engagement. Beginning where most romantic comedies end, the new film from director Nicholas Stoller, and producers Judd Apatow (Knocked Up) and Rodney Rothman (Get Him to the Greek), looks at what happens when an engaged couple- Jason Segel and Emily Blunt- keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.

AMERICAN IDOL: LUCKY 7

After what was clearly the worst night of the season, American Idol is looking for a big rebound tonight. Singer, R&B recording artist, songwriter and record producer Akon will be joining Jimmy Iovine as this weeks’ celebrity mentor. With only 7 contestants remaining, it appears that the only question left to answer is who is going to be standing next to Jessica Sanchez in the finale.

Filled with raunchy humor, it pushed the envelope on what could be in a coming-of-age movie and made a huge impression on an entire generation. Over a decade later the American Pie cast has grown up, and so has their audience.

DWTS: ROCK WEEK

When I heard it was "Rock Week" on Dancing With The Stars, I filled my flask with enough tequila that "Viva la Revolucion" was heard from Tijuana because the stock just rose. I can always count on one of rock's great ballads to get butchered and stomped on to a damn jive or some dance that wouldn't make sense to coincide with the song. So, if you're asking yourself, "Is Demi a little intoxicated while she is writing this?" The answer is, "If it ain't broke...."
