TRIBECA PREMIERE-THE GIANT MECHANICAL MAN

Press Pass LA was invited to attend Press Day for The Giant Mechanical Man.This was my first time attending a Tribeca Roundtable  and I was really excited to meet first time Director Lee Kirk, as well as the cast of this charming comedic love story including Jenna Fischer. We also caught up with the cast on the red carpet of the premiere!

TRESPASS AMERICA: MAKING A STATEMENT

Today’s hottest names in metal gathered at The Key Club in Los Angeles this Tuesday afternoon to announce what is sure to be one of this summer’s biggest music festivals.Of course they found the least subtle way to do it. Before the press conference armed military men escorted the press into the nightclub, which had been transformed into a mock war zone. With blaring helicopter noises, fake bunkers and videos of soldiers, the entire event quickly took a turn for the surreal.

DESIREE HALL, DONNER PASS LEADING LADY

We had the chance to talk to Desiree Hall, the lead actor in the recently released indie thriller Donner Pass. The film takes a group of kids on a wild experience at a cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Although it sounds like your typical setting for a horror film, it’s not. There is much more of a plot to this film than your typical bloody massacre. Although Donner Pass marked Desiree's first time in a leading role, this wasn’t her first shot in from of the camera...and it won't be her last!

DWTS- MOTOWN NIGHT

The field has been whittled down to eight, and I'm beginning to feel like those pregnant woman who walk around the mall (the ones that are 7 months pregnant but look more like 10) who just want that parasite ripped out because things have turned from cute to uncomfortable! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. I did however watch the show stone sober...until the last 15 minutes (group dances/battles make me shudder! I had to!).

PAUL VAN DYK AT PLAYHOUSE HOLLYWOOD

In support of his latest album Evolution, top producer/DJ Paul Van Dyk hit Playhouse Hollywood for a special engagement this past Sunday night. PPLA saw him perform a few months ago at White Wonderland music festival, and that was just a glimpse into what was to come. Last night's performance was not a let down. In fact, it was spectacular.
