THE E3 EXPERIENCE
The Electronic Entertainment Expo, more commonly referred to as E3, is an annual trade fair for the video game industry to show off its upcoming video games (and related hardware). For anyone unfamiliar with E3, it is a video game players dream and PPLA was there to take part in the action.
REMEMBERING VISIONARY RAY BRADBURY
Ray Bradbury, author of many pulp science fiction short stories, teleplays and novels, including the famously dystopian"Fahrenheit 451" died last night, June 5th at the age of 91. But his contributions and lasting effect on the film industry will remain unparalleled long after his death.
I recently had the opportunity to talk with the face of Amour Genesis, Genesis herself, a young self-starter based out of Chicago who won’t stop until she reaches the top. With a growing brand, the spokes model and host (who graduated college just last year!), talked with us about what her life is like in the busy world of fashion and beauty.
GAME OF THRONES FINALE
The early previews for season two of HBO’s newly crowned (yet another king) flagship series promised war. They did not disappoint, delivering not only the change amongst factions and banner men rallying to their ever-changing lieges and legions, but also the introduction of mysticism and religion, which chunks of war hammered into the machina. Plus lots of blood and sex.
BEL AMI, BON CINEMA
Bel Ami, a film by Declan Donnellan and Nick Ormerod (based on the 1885 novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant), follows the story of Georges Duroy (Robert Pattinson, Twilight series, Water for Elephants) in 1890s Paris. Duroy uses his good looks and powers of seduction to rise from povery to wealth. It is the story of politics, power, sex, and maybe even love.
