UNION SQUARE- INDIE FILM FALLS SHORT
Few people make truly independent cinema anymore. Using only a minimal budget, relatively few sets, and a small ensemble of actors, the task can be very constricting and any filmmaker that can pull it off should be applauded. That being said, while Union Square follows all these rules, following the rules alone doesn't guarantee it will be an indie hit made for the mainstream.
YAMASHIRO MARKETS
Every Thursday, just before the weekend officially kicks off, there is a quiet party happening in the hills above Hollywood. It is the Yamashiro Farmer's markets located adjacent to the iconic Yamashiro Japanese restaurant with Cal-Asian cuisine. The parking lot is filled with local food trucks, produce, baked goods, jewelry & clothing tents, and live music from 5-9PM.
